Tenerife Santa Cruz Festival - March

The Santa Cruz Festival is a non-stop, 24-hour party-orgy packed with gala performances and fancy-dress competitions taking place in the Recinto Ferial (fairgrounds) and the streets around Plaza Espana. Revelers become frenzied with good-natured dawn-to-dusk frivolity while the underlying political message of religions moral hypocrisy offers a saucy edge - so be prepared for parading naughty nuns and perverted priests – all in the name of good, honest fun of course! We believe this festival comes very close in spirit to Rio de Janeiro’s daddy of all carnivals, and it’s certainly a heck of a lot nearer!  The destination The Canary Islands, lying on the same latitude as Florida and a long-time favourite winter sun destination, are catering to a new clientele, and we rate Tenerife particularly. There's so much more to Tenerife than sun, sand and sangria, although all three are welcome.
